As a clinician and researcher who has devoted a substantial amount of time to dry needling procedures, I have become particular in my choice of needles There are three factors that I don’t compromise on. Firstly, I want needles that help me differentiate normal from irritated muscle fibers clearly, so that I get to trigger point hots ports rapidly and cause the minimum amount of discomfort to patients in the process. Secondly, I want a streamlined procedure- multiple plastic elements that have to be placed in the refuse or end up on the floor are simply an irritation to treatment flow. And thirdly I want to feel sure that I am in control of the needle all the way through the procedure.

Finally, the thick metal handle provides me with loads of confidence, even in procedures where muscle twitching is significant and patient responses to needle stimulation are strong.
